At first I wasn't going to say anything but now I've got to the point where I just need to vent. Over the last few days, each day I pick up a newspaper or magazine I'm faced with seeing articles about the whole Cheryl Cole saga. I can't comprehend why people are so outraged with the fact that she got 'the boot' from America's X Factor. SERIOUSLY!! I mean loosing your job (whatever your situation, whatever the job) is not a nice thing to through and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Nevertheless, here is a young woman from a British girl band (Girls Aloud) with a pretty face, but she is arguably the least talented one of the bunch. This is a typical example of how looks and little talent can take a person farther in life, than someone with a lot of talent. Her looks have even landed her numerous beauty advertisement deals.
Simon Cowell gave Cheryl Cole a fantastic opportunity to be a judge on Britain's X Factor. A show in which she used to promote her own music by doing occasional performances. Britain hailed Cheryl as its sweetheart and fashion icon (don't ask me why, I never really rated her ensembles). Especially, as Danni Minogue thrashed her in the style stakes on the show.
Still, the British public kept building up Cheryl Cole and she believed the hype. So much so, that when given the opportunity to be a judge in America for 'X Factor', she refused to tone down her 'geordie' accent and jetted off without a stylist (what on earth would posses someone to not reel in extra help in wardrobe, when a job pretty much depends on it when your female, and the bosses have been promised a style icon). In my eyes she put herself at a disadvantage. If I was offered a big break such as this, I would do everything possible to make sure that I nailed the job. Then when she gets the boot she's distraught and apparently angry with Mr. Cowell. Getting the sack is not a pleasant experience but Britain needs to get over it! I don't understand what all the fuss is about. There are millions of people that loose their jobs, have families to feed and mortgages to pay, with no advertisement deals in their back pocket. I'm sorry but Cheryl Cole is coming across as ungrateful! There are people out there that are much more talented but just can't get the break they truly deserve. I'm sure she'll land more deals in the near future and she'ryl get ova it!

Is my body too bootilicious for you babe?
'Cause you gotta work it out!
Just listening to a few tunes on youtube, I came across this video from Beyonce. A fun workout video to inspire youth to develop a more active and healthy lifestyle. I heard one critic say that Rihanna had stolen Beyonce's crown. Pah ....... I think not. Don't get it twisted, I like Rihanna, but Beyonce's still got it. Sasha fierce hasn't retired just yet.

The Royal Wedding
Argh, so sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, but I 've just been so busy working on my collection for an up and coming fashion show. Pricked and cut my fingers so many times I'm surprised I've got fingers left to type.
Anyhu......Eventhough all the hoohaa has died down I still feel the need to discuss the fashion from one of the most talked about events this year to date. The 'Royal wedding'.
The Queens outfit in my eyes wasn't anything not to be expected besides the colour. I thought she might turn up in a mint green or powder blue ensemble but instead she choose to wear canary yellow. A creation by Angela Kelly. I guess with nearly two thousand guests, you'd need to stand out from the rest, even if you are the Queen.
Camilla's ensemble was more than I expected and actually I thought that she looked more like the mother of the bride than Kate Middleton's mother. Perhaps Kate's mom played it safe because she new that eyes would be on her (as mother of the bride) and critics would rip her to shreds if she had taken a risk and it wasn't to their liking.
One could argue that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were possible amongst the worst dressed. With Eugenie reminiscent of one of the step sisters from a Cinderella theatre production and Beatrice's hat looking as though it belonged on the mantle piece. For two young girls these outfits were, umm ....... I'll just move on shall I.
On a lighter note two of my favourite outfits from the wedding were worn by Victoria Beckham and Tara Tomkinson. If you don't allow the nose to distract you, the colour of Tara's dress was beautiful. That electric blue really was electrifying after seeing more muted colours pass by in their droves. I wasn't keen on the gloves, but arms had to be covered.
Victoria Beckham looked divine in her frock. Poised and understated. She looked elegant and not frumpy as she hid her baby bump under a floaty navy number. Teamed with 'Louboutins' of course. Baby on the way or no baby on the way, it would have been an absolute shock to the fashion world if she'd turned up in kitten heels. After all, David was by her side to hold her up. Kitten heels were not up for discussion. In Victoria's world only skyscrappers will do.
Anyhu......Eventhough all the hoohaa has died down I still feel the need to discuss the fashion from one of the most talked about events this year to date. The 'Royal wedding'.
Now with official titles, Prince William and Kate Middleton now known as the 'Duke and Duchess of Cambridge' tied the knot (on Friday the 29th of April 2011), as millions watched across the globe. Having been too young to ever have witnessed a royal wedding live, I must say I really enjoyed watching this royal wedding ceremony. First things first, how handsome did Prince William and Prince Harry look in their unifoms? Certainly a sight for sore eyes. Watching them step out of the vehicle was definatly the highlight for me (sorry Kate).
As for Kate, I thought that the dress looked lovely.... on her. Personally I don't think other women in their twenties (whom are looking for a dress for their big day) will be rushing out to buy a dress such as this, but as for older women I think the dress would appeal more to them, as the dress is quite classic. Keeping in mind that arms had to be covered to enter the Abbey, I think the use of lace created a softer, more delicate look rather than having to wear a little jacket. The pleats in the skirt of the dress helped to make the dress less plain and more interesting. Whether I'm a fan of those pleats is another matter but it was different. Never did catch a good glimpse of her shoes though.
Many critics have stated how much they liked her make-up. I on the other hand beg to differ. I think the smoky eye, with her trademark black eyeliner ringed all the way round her eyes, ages her slightly. Having said that, overall she looked very regal. Very happy! I guess I'd be beaming to, knowing I was marrying into royalty. Her parents must be extremly proud. If she had married another commoner (middle class of course), she would never have had a wedding on this scale. What a life changing day.
Pippa Middleton looked lovely too. I liked her dress. It was very simple and streamlined but fit very well. The cowl neck added a point of interest. I think its fair to say that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge make a sweet couple. Talking of sweet couples, is it just me or did Pippa and Prince Harry not look like they would make a hot couple? Hmm, I'd hold on a little tighter if I were you Chelsea.

Wild Child
Teyana Taylor comes out fighting as she jumps into the wild. Well,......not literally. Clad in tribal prints and a mane of hair, this minx looks nothing short of foxy. Teyana proves that tribal prints are edgier than florals and you don't have to look as though you've just stepped out of a scene from 'Coming to America'. Lets hear it for this singer, Sexual Chocolate! lol
Elle Celebrates Female Vocalists
Elle magazine has dedicated its May 2011 issue to female musicians that have created explosive fireworks in the industry as of late! The issue pays homage to the legendary 'Aretha Franklin', powerhouse 'Jennifer Hudson', rap star 'Nicki Minaj' and even the quirky hair whipping 'Willow Smith'.

Hot Tracks!
It has to be said that Chris Brown has been doing it 'big' lately. Now haters will be haters, ready to put their mouth on his every move based on his past, but personal life aside....this dude's got talent. Period. Going hard with tracks such as 'Deuces', 'No Bullshit' and 'Champion' a collaboration with UK artist Chipmunk. He has released another tune titled 'Look At Me Now', from his fourth studio album F.A.M.E. This track features both Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes. Truly busting rhymes on this track, you gotta love Busta!
Keri Hilson, returns the favour after having featured on the track 'Superhuman' with Chris Brown, released some years ago. Her latest track 'One Night Stand' features Chris Brown as they perform a dance routine together in the video. There have been mixed reviews on this track, regarding Miss Keri. Dancing isn't one of her strong points, but I guess she tried to do her thing. Some argue that Ciara would have done a better job. What do you think?
Can't say I'm feeling her hair. Much prefer it short with a side parting. As for Chris breezy and his blonde doo.....I prefer him dark. I guess everyone likes to experiment with their hair at some point. Better to do so whilst your young, in order to help find, and refine your signature look at a later age.
Check out what I've just come across. My cousin said they were coming back but we didn't know when. I'm having problems with uploading the video so click on the link below to check out the video 'Ghetto Angel' by 'IMX', formally known as 'Immature'. Sounds like Marques Houston's voice has been autotuned, don't know why though. Its not like he needs it.
